After doing the close protection training you would be able to apply for the highly esteemed close protection license from SIA which will allow you to work as a close protection officer in the United Kingdom, you may also escort and accompany celebrities to other countries.

After doing the close protection training you can earn up to £200-350 per day depending upon your experience and profile.
✅What are the requirements of the Close Protection Training Course?
You need to be at least 18 years old to take the Close Protection Course, also need to be fluent in English to follow the content and perform at the assessment.
Some experience in security or combat would also be useful (although this is not a requirement of the course), as the course can be demanding for some people.
Security professionals who have worked for several years already, or people moving into this industry from a military or police background, often do best in CPO training.

To allow ample time to teach the broad range of advanced skills required by bodyguard work, the Close Protection Course runs over 16-18 days and consists of 3 units:
- Unit 1: Working in the Private Security Industry
- Unit 2: Working as a Close Protection Operative
- Unit 3: Conflict Management
Courses are packed with theoretical and practical activities to keep you engaged. The training is intense, and some exercises will finish late.

NOTE: To apply for this licence, you will also need a First Aid at Work Qualification.
First Aid requirement for the Close Protection Course
It is an SIA requirement that canters must confirm that each learner has a valid first aid qualification OR can evidence sufficient training or experience to the:
- Level of the First Person on Scene (FPOS) Intermediate Award – 30 hours (Pearson / IHCD)
- Level 3 Award in First Aid Response (HABC) or equivalent.
- Level 3 First aid at work award (QCF)
✅Do you have a Valid First Aid at work Qualification
If you have your qualification, you do not need to do the first aid qualification again, but you would be required to produce evidence on the first day of the training.
