Can you do a SIA CCTV course online?
For the SIA approved CCTV Operator Training course, you must attend an in-person course at one of our venues. The course runs for 3 days.
When would I get my SIA CCTV certificate?
After the CCTV training, you will be examined on the last day of training, if it is not an online exam your training provider will send you CCTV course paperwork to the awarding body concerned.
Once the awarding body receives the paperwork it usually takes five working days for you to learn about your results.
The certificate is usually available in ten working days.

Is SIA CCTV qualification difficult or easy?

The training duration is normally 3 or 4 Days. What the training provider is supposed to ensure is that he meets the mandatory criteria of 27 hrs of contact time as advised by SIA (this 27 Hrs of contact time was prevalent at the time of publication of this article).
The definition of contact time is the time that you spend in front of your tutor.
Once you have completed the CCTV training you shall be tested on the examination material provided by the concerned awarding body (different awarding bodies in the UK are Edexcel, EDI, Highfield, NOCN, City and Guilds etc) usually the examinations would be multiple choice questions.
